Odyssey was incorporated in 1990 and has been providing IT solutions in a wide variety of industries including financial, manufacturing, banking, service, utility, insurance, retail, publishing and many others. Odyssey was determined to establish a consulting company which was based on ideas from a technical perspective. Specifically, Odyssey created business plans and solutions through the eyes of a technical consultant with client experience. Most IT firms are started by sales people and their plans and solutions are driven by how to sell to clients. Odyssey was founded by consultants with extensive technical backgrounds and Odyssey is driven by how to provide IT solutions. Technology drives Odyssey forward, not sales plans. This creates a partnership of solutions thus avoiding the “outsider versus employee” resistance. Our history includes providing solutions in mainframe, client server and web environments.

Odyssey specializes in the ability to supply the largest selection of qualified candidates with competitive pricing regardless of the skill set needed. Because Odyssey is built to be dynamic in the services we provide to our clients, we are able to provide for the diverse needs required by our clients and the IT industry. Odyssey intentionally does not focus on any specific core competency skill set due to the ever-changing needs of the IT market. Our clients’ requirements change quickly and as a service provider we expect to be a step ahead with the skill sets we can provide. We are able to do this by focusing our business model on the ability to quickly provide qualified candidates at acceptable rates and not focusing on a few select skill sets. With this being our core competency, Odyssey is able to provide both common skills and niche skills in a timely, cost effective manner.
